Private Lessons....
Fall lessons are available from October to November. Classes are limited to two students at a time to ensure that you have plenty of hands-on time at the wheel. You may choose from 4-weeks ($150.00), or 8-week sessions ($300.00) which run on Monday or Wednesday nights from 6pm - 9pm. On Saturdays, the studio is open for one-day rentals and workshops. All supplies and tools are included in the fee.
All pottery classes will be held at East River Pottery, in the peaceful and scenic surroundings along the north branch of the Sydenham River.

Lesson Outline
Beginner: Intro to Clay
This class will prepare the beginner students to the handling and preparation of clay for wheel thrown pots. We will explore simple forms and throwing techniques as well as glazing and kiln firing. After this course, students will have a good understanding of the various steps that go into making pottery.
Intermediate: Revisiting Clay
This class will be designed for students with previous experienc working on a pottery wheel. We
will be exploring more advanced throwing and forming techniques, as well as a more technical understanding of glazing, kiln loading and firing. By the end of this class, students will have a more competent and experienced understanding of the pottery making process.
