Artist Statement
"Throughout my practice I have always been fascinated by the elements of earth, water and fire that come together to make pottery and its unlimited variables which create endless possibilities.
My work is a reflection of an interest in pottery from the beginning of time to around 1500 A.D in Asia, Europe and the mediterranean region. My main objective with pottery is to express something permanent, timeless and reflective in contrast to our temporal existence.
Most of our experiences with pottery come in the form of mass produced moulded wares that are not necessarily beautiful or ugly but are void of the intent and passion of the hand maker."
