It's been a long year away from the studio with many other "art projects" on the go. Finally getting back to things. I am looking forward to bringing my pottery to the 3rd Annual Sydenham Artist Tour on November 1 & 2, 2014 from 12pm - 5pm each day. This year's show will be held in the newly renovated Studio Space at 222 Wellington St. upstairs from the Wallaceburg Wellness Centre.

Take one box of clay.... 15 young children and their daycare staff.... working on the potter's living room floor.... and you have the beginnings of a fine and "muddy" PA Day.

Today was a day off for many local elementary school kids. For those who needed to head to the daycare, they can only hope that there would be something special planned for them. Friends from Kathie's daycare in Dresden joined Mike today to learn how to make their first pinch pots. All variations including, "cups and saucers," bowls, and mugs were hand formed after some instruction time, and then everyone got to watch the professional in action at the pottery wheel. We can't wait to see how these pieces turn out after being glazed and fired. Thanks kids. You all did a great job.

East River Pottery has temporarily relocated from Wallaceburg to London to take part in  the London Christmas Craft Festival. One of London's favorite Christmas craft shows is on again this weekend from Thursday, Dec 6th to Sunday, Dec 9th at the Western Fair District  in the Progessive Building.

Its been a busy Fall getting new products ready for the Christmas season. There is lots on new styles to see; great mugs for cocoa and coffee, beer stines, butter dishes & soup bowls, platter &  pitchers, even larger pieces like serving trays.

This weekend is your last chance in London to find that one-of-a kind treasure for that special someone.

"The Wallaceburg & District Historical Society is once again offering a Christmas Home Tour. From noon to 6 p.m., on Sunday  December 2nd, six of Wallaceburg's finest homes will be beautifully decorated in holiday  splendor. They say a drive into the country will cure whatever ailes you. Take in  some of the sceanery and  come visit me at the sudio. Ten minutes north of  Wallaceburg (or 25 minutes south of Sarnia - depending on your prospective) -East River Pottery Studio will be open this fall. Join me at the Mike Weir Park on Lakeshore Road in Sarnia, on Saturday, Sept. 8th from 9am - 4pm. This show has been a long time favorite for many vendors and visitors and will certainly have something for everyone.

WAMBO is the WALLACEBURG ANTIQUE MOTOR AND BOAT OUTING and it attracts over 20, 000 people each year. Over the years it has expanded to include antique cars, trucks, boats, fire engines, farm equipment and motorcycles as well as musical
entertainment and arts and crafts.
 
 ART in the PARK has a wonderful spot on the river beside the library that will accommodate 20 artists. The library is  located at 209 James Street. The cost is $35.00 per space (10 x 10). Please  bring your own table/chairs and tent if needed. Hydro will not be provided.

From 4th Fridays in Wallaceburg... to The Fourth Street Market in Chatham, you can find EAST RIVER POTTERY locally all season long. 

In Wallaceburg, 4th Friday's will brought to you again this  year by the  Sydenham Cultural Action Team Committee. We've heard that downtown
James St. will be closed again to traffic with lots of vendors and activites on
hand.  East River Pottery will have a booth downtown too. The events will take
